What we can and can’t do

What we can and can’t do

As the Welsh Government slowly starts to relax restrictions, we are slowly and carefully starting to re-start some of our services. Here’s a summary of what we can / can’t do:

What we can do

  • Open our development sites following strict social distancing and safety procedures
  • Carry out essential and emergency repairs
  • Log non-emergency repairs
  • Carry out some community involvement activity outdoors
  • Let empty homes
  • Re-start our Improvement programme work where safe to do so

What we can’t do

  • Open our communal areas
  • Open our offices to the general public
  • Tenant events
  • Facilitate home swaps
  • Visit tenants in their homes (with exception of essential repairs)

IMPORTANT – there are some essential repairs and maintenance checks we have to do by law. This includes annual gas safety checks and electrical testing every 5 years. Even if your home is self-isolating we still have to do these checks but wherever possible we will delay your appointment. In order to protect you and our front line colleagues we will give you instructions to follow before we come into your home.
