Its Back! Our Community Chest Fund is now open!
After a long wait, our Community Chest Fund is back and open for applications. Cartrefi Conwy’s Community Chest fund supports formal community groups and organisations to deliver small scale community projects out in our communities.
The aim of the fund is to support small projects that benefit our tenants and the communities they live in. Some of the things our Community Chest fund helps to support is:
•Activities and events
•Equipment & materials
•Gardening projects
The Alltogether Group are a community group in Llanrwst who run activities to help residents to get out and about stay active and reduce loneliness. They were successful in getting a grant of £450 to make improvements to a community communal garden in Llanrwst. This included funding to make wooden planters, restore a wooden boat and throw a small community event in the garden. They have now made many of these improvements and are seeing more local people use the area to relax and enjoy nature.
