We want to keep residents updated about the fire incident on Sunday 30th August. Our priority remains supporting the households directly affected by this very difficult event.
Our colleagues have continued to be present in the community – on site on Tuesday until 6:30pm, and again on Wednesday from 12pm to 3pm for the Housing Officer Paul’s drop-in, with other colleagues supporting too. We had a number of conversations with residents and want to thank everyone who took the time to speak with us and share their concerns. We understand this has been a difficult time for those in the community.
We are working with the emergency services while their investigation continues. We are looking into what happened and taking people’s concerns seriously. Until this work is complete, it would not be right for us to comment further on social media.
We will be back in the community throughout the early part of next week. We know not everyone is on social media, so we will deliver letters with updates and information for all residents.
We will also hold a drop-in session on
Thursday 10th September
5:00pm–7:30pm
An opportunity for anyone who hasn’t yet had the chance to speak with us the opportunity to do so.
We understand that there have been a lot of concerns and questions, and we are working towards answers for you. We expect the independent investigation will provide reassurance for you, and we will share the findings as soon as they are available.
In the meantime, please remember that you don’t need to wait until Thursday if you have an issue with your home that needs addressing. If you have any repairs to report, or would like to follow up on an existing repair or issue, please contact us in the normal way on 0300 124 0040 so we can log and progress these.
