Cartrefi Conwy supports Ysgol John Bright with Sixth Form Common Room furniture
Cartrefi Conwy has strengthened its commitment to supporting local young people by donating surplus office furniture to the Sixth Form Common Room at Ysgol John Bright, Llandudno.
The donation included modern breakfast-bar style tables and comfortable sofas – items that were no longer needed within Cartrefi Conwy offices but still in excellent condition. Rather than letting them go to waste, the furniture has been given a new home where it can make a real difference.
The transformed Sixth Form space now offers a welcoming, professional environment where students can study, collaborate, and unwind between lessons – helping them prepare for the world of work in a setting that mirrors an office-style workspace.
Sharon Jones, Director of Social Partnerships and Social Value at Cartrefi Conwy, said:
“We’re delighted to support Ysgol John Bright and its students. Reusing surplus furniture in this way not only prevents waste but also adds real value to our community. It’s a great example of how small acts of social value can make a big impact, and it’s wonderful to hear how much the students are enjoying their new space.”
Mr Chris Davies, Head of Sixth Form at Ysgol John Bright, added:
“On behalf of the students and staff at Ysgol John Bright, I just wanted to formally thank Cartrefi Conwy for the kind donation of furniture for our Sixth Form. The new breakfast bar tables and comfortable sofas have helped reshape the space into a professional, office-style environment that prepares students for the world of work. Students are delighted with the new furniture and are more eager than ever to study in this lovely environment.”
This donation reflects Cartrefi Conwy’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and social value – ensuring that surplus resources are reused in meaningful ways that support local communities and young people across Conwy.
