What to do if there’s a fire in your block
It is very important that you know the fire safety procedures for where you live. This information can be found in all communal areas. If you are not clear on what the safety procedure is for your block please speak to us immediately and we can talk you through it.
Fire safety in communal areas
It is very important that all communal areas are kept clear at all times to prevent the risk of fire spreading through communal areas.
If we discover items blocking communal areas we will take appropriate action to have these removed.
Please take a look at our Fire Safety Management of Communal Areas Guidance Notes for further information.
We also remind you to keep all fire doors closed shut at all times. Closed fire doors help stop the spread of fire, giving the emergency services time to attend and help tackle a fire. DO NOT wedge open fire doors. This includes communal entrance doors, corridor doors and flat entrance doors.
