Rhodfa Phil Evans: An Update from Cartrefi Conwy (2023)

Rhodfa Phil Evans: An Update from Cartrefi Conwy (2023)

Rhodfa Phil Evans is a £4.3m redevelopment that we are immensely proud of, not just as an organisation, but also as individuals who have been involved from the beginning.

We understand that the delays to the scheme have come at an inconvenience to the people who lead their daily lives there and we want to reassure them that we are now into the final few weeks.

We prioritised completing the much-needed social homes which we are pleased to say are all now occupied. We would like to thank you all for your continued patience throughout.

Focus has now turned to completing the play park.   Incorporating play provision has been fundamental to our approach to the regeneration of this area. The natural play area is a centrally located, open green space, designed in partnership with the Conwy Play Development Team and in close consultation with children and the local community.

Our contractor, like many others, has been impacted by the long-lasting effects of the pandemic and other external factors, but we would like to assure you that we are nearly there and committed to completing the play park in time for the summer holidays.

We are focussed on improving our communication with tenants in Llanrwst & across our developments as a whole and welcome an open and frank dialogue.  To mark the opening of the playground, we have a celebration planned during the summer holidays with further details to be announced.  We hope you can all make it, and we look forward to discussing Rhodfa Phil Evans and its bright future in more detail.

Colleagues from Cartrefi Conwy will be at Rhodfa Phil Evans to speak to tenants on Monday (12th June) between 9am and 10.30am.
