Waste Management Advice and Guidance

Waste Management Advice and Guidance

What a load of rubbish!

Over the last few years general waste and recycling are costing us £100,000’s to clean up especially in and around our bin store areas. This can’t continue and we have set up a waste management team to tackle this problem. We ask all tenants to be mighty and recycle well.

What you can do to help

  • Recycle as much as you can
  • Make sure you put items in the right bins
  • Put any individual bins out in the morning and bring them back in after collection
  • Put your house number on any individual bins so it doesn’t go missing
  • Report issues straight away
  • Try to pick up a piece of litter when you are out and about

How we help

  • Report any issues to us
  • Work with your local council to check enough bins are in place
  • Make sure bins signs are clear
  • Put up posters to help you know what items go in what bins and to know your collection calendars
  • Installing CCTV where needed in problem areas
  • Recharging tenants who don’t use the right waste and recycle bins or who fly tip

How your Council help

  • From fly tipping – to litter – to dog fouling – use their free mobile or computer apps to report issues
  • Did you know Conwy, Denbigshire and Gwynedd Councils all offer low-cost bulky waste collection
  • Do you need help to move your bins to the kerbside? Get in touch and ask them about their assisted collection
  • Order new or replacement bins
  • Your Council have Household Centres across your county – check where your nearest one is
