Llwyn Rhianedd, Maesdu Road is a new housing development in Llandudno providing nine affordable family homes. In Llandudno, many families have to live in flats when they need houses with gardens. This problem has arisen from more than half the social housing stock in Llandudno being sold under the Right to Buy legislation in the last 30 years, with the majority of these properties being family homes. This scheme was designed to address this issue by creating more family homes in the town.
The properties are thermally efficient, keeping energy bills as low as possible for tenants.
Llwyn Rhianedd development sits on the edge of the Tre Cwm estate in Llandudno where Cartrefi Conwy is currently working on a £340,000 scheme to provide a facelift to the exterior of flats and maisonettes. Cartrefi Conwy are committed to bringing added benefits in terms of training, apprenticeships and work experience to any work that we do.
We collaborated with our contractors and the local college to host a special showcase event providing people with a taste of what it’s like to work in the world of construction. The aim was to encourage anyone of working age from the local area to consider construction as a career as a career option.
