We are pleased to announce our endorsement of the Armed Forces Covenant, a testament to our commitment to equitable treatment for those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, along with their families.
Our pledge is to uphold the principles of the Covenant by acknowledging the invaluable contributions of Serving Personnel, both Regular and Reservists, Veterans, and military families to our organization and nation.

Group CEO Andrew Bowden and Chair of the Board Helen Pittaway signing the Armed Forces Covenant
By signing the Armed Forces Covenant, we commit to the following principles:
- No member of the Armed Forces Community should face disadvantage in accessing public and commercial services compared to any other citizen.
- Special treatment may be appropriate, particularly for the injured or bereaved.
In demonstrating our commitment, we will:
- Publicize our status as an Armed Forces-Friendly organization.
- Collaborate with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to facilitate employment opportunities for veterans, providing tailored pathways for Service Leavers.
- Support the employment of Service spouses and partners.
- Offer flexibility in granting leave for Service spouses and partners before, during, and after deployments.
- Accommodate the training and development needs of employees who are members of reserve forces.
- Provide support to local cadets, whether within our community or in local schools.
- Actively participate in Armed Forces Day.
We will regularly update our commitments on our website and welcome feedback from the Service community and our service users on our progress.
